Gavión Atlántico, Larus marinus, Great Black-backed Gull

EL Gavión Atlántico es la gaviota más grande que tenemos en Europa, cría muy locamente en islotes de la cornisa cantábrica y atlántica, pero en número muy escaso. En invierno se le puede ver con relativa facilidad en las costas del Norte Peninsular. En Madrid se comenzó a ver en el año 2008, a partir de esa fecha todos los inviernos se ven uno o dos individuos, casi siempre aves de primer invierno.

Great Black-backed Gull is the largest gull that we have in Europe, breeding very locally in islets of the Cantabrian and Atlantic cost of Iberia peninsula, but in very small number. In winter is a common visitor to the North Peninsular cost. In Madrid we sighted the first GBBG in 2008, from that date every winter we can find one or two individuals, most of the time first winter birds.
