La Gaviota Cana es un invernante escaso en Madrid, la primera que vi fue en Febrero de 2002, desde entonces las veo todos los invierno, la cita más temprana es un 1 invierno en Octubre de 2008 y la más tardía un 1 invierno en Mayo de 2012. El mayor número de individuos vistos un mismo día fueron 4 primer invierno y un adulto en enero de 2013. La edad que se ve más frecuentemente son los 1 invierno.
